Ode to Jackie

For Christmas my wonderful mother-in-law gave me this poster:

It pictures a few of Jackie Kennedy's dresses that were on display at the JFK Museum.

I have a fascination with the Kennedy's, specifically the wives; Ethel, Joan and of course Jackie. The number one reason is: I'm a total nerd and don't ever think differently.

The second: I have always been interested in political history and really interested in political wives and first ladies. Reminder: I named my dog Mamie Eisenhower (just to emphasize that I am a nerd.)

The third: I am fascinated with the 60's. Perhaps this is why I love the show Mad Men so much. The fashion from that decade was insane and no one was more fashionable in the 60's than Jackie Kennedy.

I took the poster to be framed several weeks ago and got it back last week.

Of course a picture from my phone cannot do it justice but trust me, it is gorgeous in the frame.

We hung it in the bedroom, on the opposite wall from the bed above my vintage chair.

I am so happy with how it turned out

Of course now when I leave my room dressed like a bum to run errands, this poster may shame me.
