Our New Bed!!!!!!

I am ashamed to say that since we have been married (three years and two months), we have been sleeping on a full size bed. Before you gasp: we used to sleep in the bed comfortably as we both stay on our sides and don't move a whole lot. We've always planned on purchasing a larger bed but it was never a big deal......until we got Mamie. Two grown adults and a 45 pound dog surpass the limits of a full size bed.

Soooooooo we finally bought a bed, a king size bed.

*Cue the band of angel voices*

Since I don't have enough conflicting patterns in our room I went for a comforter that had three patterns; roses, blue damask and stripes.

And what does Her Royal Highness think of the new bed?

The second the delivery guys laid the mattress on the bed, that dog was on it. I'm sure they got a kick out of me swatting at her yelling, "Get off the mattress!!" and Mamie dodging the swats without actually getting off the mattress.

Our bed went into the guest bedroom.

I have some vintage bird prints that I plan on framing and hanging above the bed. One year later and I am still not done decorating.

My grandmother made that afghan at the foot of the bed. It works perfectly for that room.
